Curious about discovering the trendiest and most vibrant LGBTQ+ hangouts in Manila? You're in for a treat because this article has got you covered. But before we delve into the details, let's take a quick trip down memory lane - for the longest time, the gay scene in Manila was centered in Malate. Yes, Orosa Nakpil Avenue, where people from all walks of the LGBTQ+ spectrum would gather on weekends. This was the pre-Grindr era, spanning from 1995 to 2005, when the excitement revolved around the bustling club scene. JOURNAL | Why "Hero" Is A Social Construct and Should Be Re-Examined
It's National Heroes' Day in the Philippines.
Something I would have overlooked if not for some related posts in Twitter. Right now the Philippines is starving for heroes they can look up to - at least sensible heroes who fit the bill, and not some self-proclaimed hero who promises to liberate the poor and implement changes (e.g. corrupt politicians) but a hero who looks after the welfare of the land before self.
I can't think of anybody else aside from ex-Vice President Leni Robredo. She's such an inspiration to most Filipinos who have dreams of making our lives a better one. Although she has not won last presidential election, my hope did not die that maybe someday through her works and inspiration something good will come out of it all.

JOURNAL | Why Body Dysmorphia Should Not Be Tolerated
Yesterday, I just settled my monthly gym membership fee and it has got me thinking whether this spending is all worth it considering that I only use the gym twice a month - pretty expensive for an effort to lose weight just because I feel awfully overweight these past few days. My belly has started to bloat that I could not even see my pubes because it is blocked. The good thing is I can still tie my shoe laces - back bent (although that has also started me feeling a bit struggling).

As one of my friends once told me, becoming grateful and recognizing that there are so many things that we should be thankful for - is a step toward achieving harmony with the Universe.
