JOURNAL | The Perfect Way How Not to Write Blog Articles

Blog, Get It Write

Nakakatawa lang isipin yung thought na puro ka reklamo sa buhay mo, pero wala ka namang ginagawang action para ma-solve yung mga problema. Medyo nakaka-inis yung ganung thought. I mean, kung wala ka naman plan to change the situation, siguro wag na lang i-share sa World kasi wala naman pakialam ang World sa mga problema mo. The World has its own problem para isipin ka pa.

Grabe ang lala talaga ng pagiging reklamador mo as a young professional. Did you even think of talking to someone who could have helped you to resolve your issues?

SHORT LINERS | Trying Hard!

Short Line Writing

I told myself that I will avoid writing rants in this blog... god knows how much I tried. With all the bullshit happening in this side of the country worsened by the fact that I do not have a job that can sustain myself, this is truly so very awfully, awfully tragic. This year 2020 really is an all time disappointment. And it doesn't help that for the past few days, I am feeling unhealthy maybe due to lack of exercise or motivation. This lock down is a serious mental torture and I do not know how long I can keep my shit together.

CONVOS | The Iceberg Gay Dilemma and Why It's OK Not To Be On Top

Gay Iceberg Dilemma

The tip of the iceberg image, with alpha guys on top poses a real problematic stance for the LGBTQ+ community.
Looking at it devoid of personal bias, and so I ask if it's fair to ignore sentiments like these on the basis of generational life experience lenses. I remember how a former Professor stated that your experience will never be my experience, hence interpretation of reality is relative (from a Filipino Communicative Behavior Model). And to rebuke the what could be a legit distress call from a different generation might also be counter intuitive when all we want to achieve is a harmonious co-existence.

CONVOS | The Problem With POGI

The Problem With POGI

Chatting with A today about the possibility of setting up the "orgy" sometime soon but had to tell him that due to this COVID-19 pandemic, it is not going to be easy to do that's why it may take some time. Anyhow he said that he will only become a watcher (just watching the people) and not participate. But told him it is not going to work out that way because all people coming up have to participate one way or another - sexual or something similar.

To the young and budding spa enthusiast, it is always a thrill to find the best spa experience in Metro Manila. I know because I used to be exactly in those shoes. I know how difficult it is to find reviews and recommendations. Back in the day, the Internet was not really popular so we had to rely on what little information we had. And this was in the late 90s and early 2000s. We had to actually experience before we can cast our judgment and stick to what we feel was fit for us.

Romanticizing Poverty in Mainstream Media

Romanticizing Poverty in Mainstream Media

Miss Universe Catriona Gray in her final Q&A described poverty in the Philippines as both poor and very sad. To an outsider, how does Philippines poverty register to them when they see clips of it in maintream media. We talked to Professor Sarah from the University of the Philippines, Diliman to know her take on the representation of poverty in mainstream media. In our discussion, she shares that media has a normative effect on the audience in terms of maintaining the status quo. Some other interesting points include the relational imagination and creation of spectacle which are discussed in detail in this article.
