BOOK REVIEW | Book Challenge for September/October

Book Challenge for September/October!

Read three self-help books and see how this will change your life.

Well, it's going to be a busy season for this blogger (me!) but that shouldn't stop the reading and learning. I'm actually grateful that my job allows me to both write and read, something that diverts my attention and keep me sane. So with that being said, I am putting myself up to the test. Here are the three books that I am resolute to finish by all means:

The 48 Laws of Power
by Robert Greene, 1998

Writes, "the bestselling book for those who want POWER, watch POWER, or want to arm themselves against POWER. Amoral, cunning, ruthless, and instructive, this piercing work distills three thousand years of the history of power into forty-eight well-explicated laws."

Some interesting topics are:
* Always say less than necessary
* Make other people come to you - use bait if necessary
* Use selective honesty and generosity to disarm your victim

(Hmm, looks like I'm going to enjoy reading this book!)

Secrets of Success At Work
by Nigel Cumberland, 2014

Why do some people's careers soar, full of promotions, great projects and big results, while the rest of us struggle to stand out? It's because some people know the secrets of success at work.

Secrets of Influential People
by Steven Pearce, 2014

Why do some people have a powerful effect on those around them and become trusted  and persuasive influencers, while the rest of us struggle to make an impact we deserve?

(Reminds me a lot of Dale Carnegie's "How To Win Friends and Influence People")
