Lucena City has a rich history that is probably not passed down to the younger generations. During my younger years, I was never concerned about my birth place. It was always there anyway so I didn't really bother.


In the photo above, we see the St. Ferdinand Cathedral & the building beside it the used to be Maryknoll Academy. Taken in 1966, already over a decade after the Japanese Occupation; the school was run by Dominican sisters. To this day, the school remains under the care of the Dominican sisters.
