Leonardo's Bar & Grill, Antipolo (Philippines)
A drive away from the hustle and bustle of the city once in a while certainly helps one to get back his sanity. This week, we visited a rustic restaurant atop a hill overlooking the busy city of Manila.
Antipolo, is a city in the province of Rizal; 25 kilometers East of Manila. There are many special things about Antipolo, but it is perhaps its higher elevation than that of Metro Manila that gives it a scenic view of the metropolis, that makes it extraordinary.
Took us about two hours to reach our point of destination, starting from Manila. Traffic is expectedly horrible when you reach the Marikina area, but soon as you climb then drive is a breeze.
Leonardo's Restaurant
I've featured floating bamboo restaurants in this blog (e.g. Kamayan sa Palaisdaan in Tayabas, Quezon & Silangang Nayon in Pagbilao, Quezon). But this time, we have visited bamboo cottages that has scenic views of Manila. Add to that the videoke in each cottage.
The food was excellent and the booze comes at reasonable prices. We have tried their gambas, sisig, tokwa plus four buckets of San Mig Light Apple, each bucket containing 6 bottles. We paid around 2500 PhP. Not bad for a restaurant with good location.
