Some Economic Thoughts

Well I'm no expert on economic matters, but I do understand that the Peso-Dollar exchange hugely affect my capability to purchase McDonalds or KFC when I'm in a foreign land. So perhaps high school seniors or college freshmen can expound more on economuc concerns that hit the Pinoys most.

Economy is the status of a society in a period of time. It is available at any other country and involves the government which people actually consider as the leader of the economy.

What do Pinoys think of economy when they hear it?

People in the Philippines usually react differently- vexation and disappointment among others. After all, the economy plays a major role in people's daily lives. Philippine economy, just like any other, is run by the government; the turn out determines the fate of its people. Thus, how an economy is managed is a key concern for all involved.

Some issues that the Philippines has on hand (and remains relevant):
  • The exchange rate outlook (Philippine Peso to US Dollar)
  • Gross National Product (GNP) Expansion
  • Gross Domestic Product (GDP) Growth
  • Inflation rate
  • Deficit spending
  • Pump Priming Program (which happened during the Arroyo Administration), and other similar programs to boost the economy
  • Bullish/Bearish Asian Countries
  • Recession
  • International Monetary Fund (IMF)
