I found this photo contest over the net and thought it will be interesting to join.
The only question is- WHAT INDEED MAKES THE HEART RACE? SKIP A BEAT? WARM THE HEART?

Speed/adrenaline, thrill of excitement, emotion of the moment?

If I'm joining this contest then I would have to make the most out of it. I will have to win this and prove what indeed defines the heart skipping warming photos.

CHALLENGE:
Capture a breathtaking image that makes your heart beat
It can be about any subject like speed, action, breathtaking moments, etc. as long as it moves the heart

PRIZES:

1 x Nikon’s Choice (to be chosen by Nikon MEA)
1 x People Choice (the entry with the most number of likes and shares)

QUALIFIERS:
• 100 qualifiers to win an invitation to Nikon’s VIP Launch Event where all 100 qualifying photos will be exhibited. All qualifying photos will also be shown at Nikon’s amazing multimedia exhibit at the Dubai Mall.

• 12 qualifiers (2 each) will be chosen from Egypt, KSA, Qatar, Oman, Bahrain and Kuwait and invited to the Dubai event. Airline tickets and hotel accommodation will be provided by Nikon MEA.

MECHANICS:
• Submit your photo entry via private message at Nikon MEA’s Facebook page. Add your country of residence, your e-mail address and contact number so we can get in touch in case you qualify.

• All photo submissions should be originals taken by the photographer.
• You may use any brand camera.

• Max 3 entries per person.
* Post processing is allowed but should be kept to a minimum. Photographers may put their watermark on the photo as long as it does not damage or detract from the quality of the image.

• Photos will be judged according to technical and aesthetic merits, as well as, interpretation of the theme.

• Qualifying photos will be uploaded in Nikon MEA’s “HEART OF THE IMAGE” album.

• Share your photo with friends to gain “Likes” and “Shares” for the People’s Choice prize category.

• NOTE: “Likes” should be genuine. “Likes” generated from auto-liking or false FB accounts will not be considered and may be cause for disqualification.

• 16th Dec to 2nd Jan – submissions
• 3rd to 5thJan – selection
• 6th Jan – Album upload
• 6th to 17th Jan (pre-event) – voting

• The Contest is open to all Nikon MEA Facebook fans currently residing in the UAE, KSA, Oman, Bahrain, Qatar, Kuwait, and Egypt.

• Photographers should be mindful of country laws when taking photographs. Nikon Middle East will not assume any liability resulting from inappropriate photography practices.

• Nikon Middle East FZE reserves the right to disqualify entries that do not meet quality standards or those that may be deemed inappropriate or offensive.

• Nikon Middle East FZE reserves the right to terminate the Contest at any time without prior notice. Nikon Middle East FZE shall not be liable for any loss, damage or expense as a result.

• Nikon Middle East FZE reserves the right to change, amend, delete or add to these Contest Terms and Conditions without prior notice at any time. Participants agree to be bound to any such changes.

• In the event of a tie for the People’s Choice prize, Nikon Middle East FZE will chose the winning photo.

• Nikon Middle East FZE decision shall be final and binding. No correspondence shall be entertained.
